I I could live in my athleisure pieces every day of the year and with people home more, I love the free pass to make your athleisure work for more occasions than just working out. Chic athleisure looks are trending now more than ever! So here’s the secret to making your athleisure looks feel more luxe and less lazy:
Texture, texture, texture.
Bringing in contrasting, unique textures will make even the simplest sportswear pieces feel like it stepped out of a magazine. I love the high-shine of this puffer coat and these sneakers (under $100) in contrast with this ribbed sports bra and leggings (both under $100). This sherpa teddy bag also brings in the perfect cozy texture for fall, adding a whole new element that elevates the look even further. I especially love mixing textures with a monochromatic look so the textures get to steal the show.
Sharing a few more of the prettiest athleisure pieces that look more expensive than they are. How pretty is this logo matching set? The micro print in this color palette looks so high end. Also love this leopard print set and of course I will always say yes to a matching sweatshirt and sweats – love this one!

On a random personal note, I took Ollie down to the train this week. He’s obsessed with trucks, trains, garbage cans – anything that’s big and loud. This is one of my favorite stages. They are so excited and inquisitive about everything. Little things, big things, they just appreciate every little moment. I love seeing him excited but also a little nervous so he has to stay close to me or hold my leg so he has that reassurance as he sees and explores new things. I heard this on a Tiktok video this week and it stuck out to me so much. It was talking about how we say little things each day like we can’t wait for _____ – Can’t wait for our kids to be out of diapers, for the week to be over so we can relax on weekend, can’t wait for Christmas, can’t wait, can’t wait… BUT:
“Life is not short. We waste it. We waste it hoping for things to come, we waste it complaining, we waste it with grudges. Your life is now. Now is your life. There is no replacement for this moment you are in. Live your life and love it! Never wish away a minute of it. You will never get this moment back”
It made me stop in my tracks and think how many times I say little things like that instead of appreciating the moment I’m in. So this is your reminder to stop worrying about what’s ahead and enjoy the moment you’re in.
Happy Halloween weekend! Xx, Christine
